Everyone has their own story for wanting to improve their sporting performance. Sport provides us a perfect opportunity to learn how to manage our emotions, making us stronger athletes and more resilient, effective people outside our sport.

The unforgiving nature of sport can lead to low mood, anxiety and other difficulties. Using a range of therapeutic tools, it is possible to help athletes manage pressure and difficult emotions so that performance is less inhibited by doubt, fear of failure and burn out.

Well-being impacts all athletes ability to reach their true athletic potential. People need authentic meaning, vision and purpose to their chosen pursuits in order to find joy in the challenge and perform at their best.

Finding the extra half percent needed to win often lies in attentional capacity. With a research interest in working memory, attention and challenge mindset, Charlotte works with athletes to help them improve their attentional resources giving them the best chance of success.

Charlotte is a Clinical Psychologist and has a Masters Distinction in Sports Psychology. She has a special interest in athlete performance and well being. Charlotte has worked many years across a broad range of psychology, within the NHS services and charitable sector.

Charlotte is a member of the British Psychological Society (BPS), the British Association of Sport and Exercise Sciences (BASES) and on the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) register.
